VISITING THE SICK

In living out the command of Jesus to love our neighbor as our self, and following the Church's teaching on the Corporal Works of Mercy, we invest heavily in being a presence to those who cannot join us. We reach out to those who are sick, homebound or unable to attend Mass, receive Communion, and in need of fellowship.  We do this in two different areas.

HOSPITAL AND HOMEBOUND

We also provide Communion, Confession, Anointing of the Sick, and fellowship visitation to parishioners and non-parishioners who are either homebound or residing at other medical facilities.

COMPANIONSHIP AND FELLOWSHIP

Along with providing spiritual aide and companionship, we also have volunteers at all locations who are willing to share their gift of entertainment and fellowship. Whether it's playing an instrument, singing, playing games, reading, we desire to help provide companionship to those who often feel lonely and forgotten.

THE COTTAGES AT GARDEN GROVE

A long-term residential care and rehabilitative facility near Divine Mercy, we serve the Garden Grove community through fellowship and providing the sacraments. We provide Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (non-ordained members of the parish) to deliver the Eucharist every Tuesday morning. We also assist in providing appointments with a priest for receiving Confession and Anointing of the Sick.
